Actor Sushant Singh Rajput died yesterday in Mumbai; allegedly due to suicide. He died at the age of only 34. Whole country is shocked at his untimely demise. The actor who did a role preaching others against suicides would commit suicide himself, is beyond belief for most people. At the same time, we remember his life, achievements, and legacy.
Sushant Singh Rajput was born on January 21, 1986, in Patna, Bihar to parents to Krishna Kumar Singh and Usha Singh. His ancestral home is in Bihar's Purnia district. One of his sisters, Mitu Singh, is a state-level cricketer.
Sushant did his schooling from St. Karen's High School in Patna and then from Kulachi Hansraj Model School in New Delhi. Sushant Singh Rajput was brilliant at studies and cleared 11 engineering entrance examinations. In 2003, he secured 7th rank in the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) Entrance Exam and got admitted in B.E. Mechanical Engineering. Sushant was also a National Olympiad Winner in Physics. At Delhi College of Engineering, he actively participated in theatre. Later, he dropped out of college to pursue his acting career.
Sushant Singh Rajput started his show business career with television serials. His debut show was Star Plus's romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by an award-winning performance in Zee TV's popular soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–11).
Sushant made his film debut in the buddy drama Kai Po Che! (2013), for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He then starred in the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and as the titular detective in the action thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015). His highest-grossing releases came with a supporting role in the satire PK (2014), followed by the titular role in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). For his performance in the latter, he received his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Sushant went on to star in the commercially successful films Kedarnath (2018) and Chhichhore (2019).

Ashok Kumar: Sand Artist from Bihar: Famous Biharis
Brutal death of a female elephant in Kerala has created shock waves all across the country. People have expressed various emotions including grief, disgust and anger after coming to know about the news. The female elephant who was also pregnant, was given crackers laden pineapple fruit to eat by some locals in Malappuram, Kerala, which broke her jaws. The injured elephant went to the river and stood there for 3 days in water till her death.
Ashok Kumar, a sand artist from Bihar has created his sand art dedicated to the female elephant and her unborn kid. You can check the news article about this here on DNA.
Ashok Kumar is a budding sand artist who makes sand art on the banks of river Saryu. He is not only a sand artist, but is also a trained diver of National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF). He belongs to Nawaji Tola Dharmsala village. News: People from Mizoram laud people of Bihar for kindness to train passengers
The Mizo community lauded the gesture of villagers in Bihar who provided fruits and prepared food for the people of northeast, mostly from Mizoram, at a stationary train near Begusarai.
Videos of local people trooping in and handing out packets and baskets containing food to the passengers were widely shared on social media by Mizos and other communities in the northeast.
Mizoram’s Chief Minister Zoramthanga tweeted about the gesture.
“Few days after stranded Mizos offers their food to flood-affected victims on their way back, a brief halt of their Shramik Special Train at Begusarai, Bihar witnessed good Samaritans offering them food in return! Goodness for goodness. India is beautiful when flooded with love,” he wrote.
Mr. Zoramthanga’s tweet has been appreciated by people in Mizoram and Bihar alike.
News: Viktor Zicho: A Hungarian Stuck in Bihar due to Lockdown Restrictions
Hungarian Cyclist Viktor Zicho has been stranded in Saran, Bihar due to Lockdown related restrictions. Government officials have offered to book him a ticket back to his country, but Viktor insists that he must be allowed to go to Darjeeling as per his original plan!
