Shubham Kumar of Bihar Tops Civil Services Exam
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC civil services result 2020 on September 24, 2021. This year the rank one has been secured by IIT Graduate Shubham Kumar who belongs to Bihar.
As per Navbharat Times, the AIR 1 Shubham Kumar belongs to the Katihar district of Bihar.
Shubham Kumar's father works in Gramin bank. Shubham's mother in conversation with Navbharat times said that since childhood he has managed to secure rank 1 and be among the toppers. She further said that she is very happy that the hard work paid off. She encouraged other aspirants from Bihar to make the state proud. Shubham Kumar told Navbharat Times that he wish to work in Bihar for the development of state. If not Bihar, he would like to work for Madhya Pradesh.
Younger of the two siblings, his elder sister work as a scientist in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). "My father used to motivate me a lot and helped me in maintaining a positive attitude that helped me in clearing the exam,” said Kumar, adding that his father works as a bank manager in Bihar.
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar congratulated Shubham Kumar for his success and said he has made not only his home district proud but also the whole Bihar.”
Deputy chief minister Tarkishore Prasad who comes from Katihar talked to the parents of Shubham and expressed his desire to participate in the function which will be organized to honour Shubham in his village Kumhari.
Meanwhile, Vidya Vihar School chairman Ramesh Mishra while congratulating Shubham for his success said the Vidyalaya would felicitate his student.
Topper Shubham has thanked all his well-wishers and villagers for their best wishes in a tweet.

Bihar CM Lays Foundation Stone to Redevelop PMCH into World's Largest Hospital
If everything goes as per the plan, India will very soon see its biggest hospital in the next five. The hospital that will be soon constructed in Patna will be equipped with a special helipad for emergency air ambulance along with 60 modular operation theatres and 5462 beds.
After planning for close to a decade, CM Nitish Kumar on Monday laid the foundation stone at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) which is being redeveloped at a cost of Rs 5540 crore.
In his address to the media after the inauguration, the chief minister urged the contractors to complete the project within five years for the sake of humanity and assured them that additional resources and support will be provided to meet the set deadline for completing the hospital.
"The Patna Medical College and Hospital will be redeveloped into a world-class structure without hampering the current operations of the medical services," Kumar said.
According to official information, the hospital that is being built over 78 lakh square feet will also have 487 emergency beds and a guest house with a capacity for 715 persons. The hospital complex will also have 550 nurse quarters and 360 studio apartments.
What is touted to be the world's second-largest and India's only biggest hospital will also have a massive parking capacity for 3334 vehicles. The chief minister also said that the hospital will be linked with elevated roads for easy and uninterrupted access for patients and their families.
